National Academic Olympiads will be organized in 12 subjects during the 2026–2027 academic year, with competitions held at the school, provincial, district, and national levels. Under the regulations approved by the head of the General Authority for Education, the General Committee and subcommittees are responsible for organizing and overseeing the national Olympiads. The committees recently held a meeting to establish guidelines for members of the General Committee, strengthen coordination, and ensure effective cooperation throughout the organization of the competitions.

During the meeting, officials also reviewed the consolidated results of national and international Olympiads held during the 2025–2026 academic year and developed recommendations and proposals for areas requiring further attention. The schedule and dates for the 2026–2027 academic year were also announced.

The schedule was approved after taking into account proposals from the Ministry of Education, as well as education departments and divisions in provinces and Ulaanbaatar districts, and was subsequently submitted to the Minister of Education for approval.

The first stage of this year’s Olympiads will begin at the school level on October 23 with chemistry and social studies. English and physics competitions will follow on October 26, history and geography on October 27, mathematics and Russian on October 28, and technical and technology education and traditional Mongolian script on October 29. On October 30, students will compete in Mongolian language and literature, information technology, and biology.

Students who qualify at the school level will advance to provincial and district-level competitions in January and February 2027. The top-performing students will then compete at the national level in March and April for the national championship titles.
