3rd International Drone and Robot Coding Competition concludes

By D.CHANTSALMAA

The Third International Drone and Robot Coding Competition was successfully held in Ulaanbaatar City over the past weekend, bringing together top national teams from Mongolia, South Korea, Vietnam, and China. For the first time, Mongolia hosted this prestigious event, which was organized by the School of Fine Arts and Technology of the Mongolian National University of Education.

The competition aimed to promote drone coding education and foster young people’s interest in technology, creativity, and innovation. Mongolian students delivered outstanding performances, earning multiple top honors. In the high school drone coding category, students from Govi-Altai Province won gold and silver medals, while a student from Oyunlag School claimed a bronze medal. Special prizes also went to teams from Govi-Altai and Ulaanbaatar Empathy School.

In the middle school drone coding category, Vietnam took first place, while Mongolian students earned silver and bronze medals. A South Korean student received a special prize. Meanwhile, in the drone robot coding category for both middle and high school divisions, Mongolian participants swept the competition, winning gold, silver, and bronze medals.

Organizers highlighted that this international competition is more than a test of skill—it serves as a global platform for young participants to build friendships, exchange experiences, and inspire innovation and collaboration across borders.

The competition was first initiated in 2023 by Dr. Cho, President of the Lifelong Learning Center of the Federation of Korea Aeronautics, who hosted the inaugural event in South Korea. The second competition was held in Vietnam, followed by this year’s successful event in Mongolia.
