Drone and Robot coding competition to be held next month

In today’s rapidly evolving educational landscape, equipping students with skills in coding and artificial intelligence—essential competencies of the 21st century—has become a major priority. In line with this, the Mongolian National University of Education, in collaboration with the Korea Civil Aviation Association and its Lifelong Education Center, is set to host the International Drone and Robot Coding Competition (IDARCC) in Mongolia from October 18 to 20.

The competition will feature two main categories: Drone Coding and Drone & Robot Coding, with participation open to middle and high school students. This year, students from countries including Mongolia, Indonesia, South Korea, Thailand, the United States, and Vietnam are expected to attend, highlighting the event’s growing international scope.

Mongolian students have already achieved notable success in previous international competitions in 2023 and 2024, securing one gold, one silver, and one bronze medals, as well as a special team award, demonstrating the country’s rising proficiency in STEM education and technological innovation.

Officials emphasize that hosting the competition in Mongolia not only promotes coding and AI literacy among students but also strengthens international collaboration and exchange in the fields of robotics and drone technology.
