The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Protection has launched a unified system to collect public reports on environmental risks that may threaten children’s rights and safety. The initiative aims to protect children’s rights, create child-friendly environments, prevent household accidents and injuries, assess environmental hazards and reduce risk factors. Members of the public who identify hazards in their surroundings that could negatively affect children’s rights or safety can report them through the Risk and Safe Environment Monitoring and Assessment system at heatmap.longbinarycity.com.

The public can also join the “Za bol zaaval hiiy” campaign by sharing photos and videos showing meaningful time spent with their children, such as playing together, talking, reading, learning or going outdoors, to encourage positive examples of parenting and family engagement.

Another nationwide campaign to prevent children from being exposed to environmental hazards was held for the third consecutive year this year. As part of the campaign, 1,407 locations across the country that could pose risks to children’s health and lives were identified and documented with photographs and video footage.

The new system will create a centralized database of environmental risks, allowing authorities to address hazardous locations promptly. Progress will then be documented and publicly reported using “before and after” comparisons, accompanied by photographs and the relevant dates. The initiative is expected to strengthen public participation in identifying hazards and help authorities respond more effectively to risks affecting children’s safety.
