Requests to equate international test scores now open

The registration period for the Mongolian language exam and the university entrance examination will continue until May 15. Meanwhile, online applications to equate international test scores with Mongolia’s university entrance exam results began on March 9. According to Order A/69 (2025) issued by the Minister of Education, internationally recognized examination scores may be converted into equivalent scores for Mongolia’s university entrance examinations used in admissions to higher education institutions.

Under this regulation, scores from several widely recognized international tests, including Cambridge International AS and A Levels, International Baccalaureate (IB), TOEFL iBT, Pearson Test of English (PTE), IELTS, and SAT, can be considered for equivalency. This allows students who graduated from foreign high schools or completed internationally recognized academic programs to have their academic results evaluated and converted into local admission scores.

Applicants must submit their requests online at least 15 working days before the entrance examinations begin. To do so, students should log in to the website of the Education Evaluation Center of Mongolia at eec.mn, select the “Entrance Examination” section, and then choose the “International Score Equivalency” option.

When submitting the request, applicants are required to provide supporting documents, including an application for score equivalency, a copy of their birth certificate or national ID card, and a copy of their academic transcript. The Education Evaluation Center will review and resolve each request within 10 working days from the date the application is received.
