Registration ongoing for university entrance exams

The Education Evaluation Center has officially announced the start of registration for this year’s Mongolian language proficiency exam and university entrance examinations. Registration began on March 5 at 9:00 a.m. and will remain open until 6:00 p.m. on May 15.

For the 2026 Mongolian language exam, applicants must register through their school’s internal academic management system. Specifically, students are required to log in to the official website Eyesh.eec.mn, select the “Registration” section, and enter their national registration number along with other personal information. After completing this step, they will receive a unique registration ID and password.

Applicants can then indicate whether they wish to sit for the Mongolian language exam—a step particularly relevant for those who have previously passed the test. Following this, candidates may choose to take two or more subjects for the university entrance examination. Once the registration form has been finalized, applicants must complete the payment online to confirm their registration. Registration for candidates who sat the exam in previous years began on March 5, officials said.

The exams are open not only to current high school graduates but also to anyone wishing to enroll in universities and higher education institutions across Mongolia. Each year, approximately 40,000 students sit for the university entrance examination, with around 35,000 of them being grade 12 graduates.

In addition, condensed guides for each exam subject have been published on the official page of the Education Evaluation Center to help students prepare effectively. Education authorities encourage all prospective candidates to complete their registration within the designated period and to take advantage of the preparatory materials provided.
