A new aquatic sports training center has been commissioned in the 34th khoroo of Songinokhairkhan District, expanding access to sports and recreational infrastructure in one of Ulaanbaatar City’s most densely populated districts.

Located in the Orbit area, the facility features a 25-meter, five-lane swimming pool, along with bowling facilities, fitness equipment, and a parking area with capacity for 62 vehicles. The swimming pool includes seating for 220 spectators and is designed to serve users of all age groups.

Members of Parliament representing Songinokhairkhan District, together with Ulaanbaatar City Governor and Mayor of the Capital City Kh.Nyambaatar, visited the site to review the completed construction. Mayor Kh.Nyambaatar noted that the new facility increases the number of swimming pools in Songinokhairkhan District to two, highlighting its significance for local residents. He also stated that children living in the district will be able to attend swimming training sessions by alternating between the two facilities.

The project was financed through the state budget, with Vankhuu LLC serving as the main contractor. Construction of the center began in 2022. The commissioning of the aquatic sports training center is expected to improve access to sports training and recreational activities for residents while contributing to broader efforts to develop public sports facilities in the capital city.
