Cashmere clothes showcased at ‘Source Fashion 2026’

The international fashion exhibition and trade fair “Source Fashion 2026” was successfully held in London last week, bringing together key players from the global apparel and textile industry. The event attracted more than 250 manufacturing companies from 25 countries, as well as representatives from approximately 3,200 companies and trading organizations, all aiming to exchange information, explore new markets, and expand international cooperation.

Mongolia was represented at the exhibition by Khanbogd Cashmere, which showcased a range of high-quality wool and cashmere products, according to information released by the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association. The company’s participation highlighted Mongolia’s growing presence in the international fashion supply chain and its potential to expand exports of value-added textile products.

Held twice annually, the Source Fashion exhibition is distinguished by its ability to bring together manufacturers, supply-chain representatives, fashion designers, global brands, and buyers under one roof. In addition to serving as a major networking platform, the event also features collections and designs that reflect current and upcoming fashion trends, providing valuable insights into global market directions. Mongolia remains one of the world’s leading producers of raw materials for the textile industry.

Mongolia prepares more than 10,000 tonnes of cashmere annually, ranking second in the world after China, and produces over 30,000 tonnes of wool each year. Currently, around 94,000 enterprises operate in Mongolia’s wool, cashmere, and knitwear sector, underscoring the industry’s significant contribution to employment, exports, and economic development.
