New parliamentary secretary general determined

At the plenary session of the parliament, B.Baasandorj was officially relieved of his duties as Secretary General and succeeded by Dr. L.Ulziisaikhan, Honored Lawyer of Mongolia.

During the handover ceremony, former Secretary General B.Baasandorj, accompanied by the management team of the Parliamentary Secretariat, congratulated L.Ulziisaikhan and presented her with the secretariat seal. B.Baasandorj expressed confidence in his successor, noting that L.Ulziisaikhan is a highly qualified lawyer, previously led the secretariat, and is familiar with the inner workings of the parliament, as well as having served as a member of the Constitutional Court. He wished L.Ulziisaikhan success in her new role.

In response, Secretary General L.Ulziisaikhan thanked B.Baasandorj for his work in implementing the 2023 amendments to the Constitution and for successfully inaugurating the first 126-member parliament.

Dr.Ulziisaikhan has been teaching at the Law School of the National University of Mongolia since 1998. She has extensive experience in state administration, having held management positions in the Parliamentary Secretariat, the Judicial General Council, the Administrative Court of First Instance in the capital, and the Government Secretariat. She previously served as Secretary General of the Parliament from 2019 to 2023 and was later appointed to the Constitutional Court of Mongolia.

Separately, the General Oversight Committee of the Mongolian People's Party (MPP) reviewed a request submitted by MP B.Enkhbayar. A prior resolution issued on October 1, 2025, had excluded him from party membership for violating party rules. At its regular meeting, the committee voted by majority to nullify that resolution. The MPP Board of Directors, the Secretary General’s Office, and the party’s parliamentary group have been tasked with implementing the new decision.
