‘Autumn Green Days’ underway

The “Autumn Green Days 2025” fair is currently held at the Central Sports Palace and will continue until October 28, operating daily from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Now in its 20th year, this annual event has become a key platform for promoting the sustainable supply of food in the capital city, introducing consumers to Mongolia’s best domestic products, increasing market access and sales for producers, supporting new technologies and organic production, and providing direct access to freshly harvested goods from local farmers.

This year, the fair features companies and producers from 21 provinces, representing sectors such as national manufacturing, agriculture, livestock, and light industry, alongside small and medium enterprises showcasing a wide array of innovative products.

During the opening ceremony, Ulaanbaatar Mayor Kh.Nyambaatar emphasized Mongolia’s ongoing efforts to achieve self-sufficiency in vegetables, wheat, and other staple crops, aiming to meet 100 percent of domestic demand. He highlighted several major projects launched in cooperation with the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry, particularly focusing on the capital city, which is home to approximately two million residents. Among these initiatives, the establishment of the “Agro-City” intensive farming and vegetable production zone was approved last year, with the Governor’s Office of the Capital City overseeing its implementation. This special economic zone aims to ensure local vegetable supply, reduce imports, and provide a structured environment for farmers and vegetable growers. Infrastructure development in the zone is expected to begin next year.

Mayor Kh.Nyambaatar also stressed that the Ulaanbaatar City administration, in collaboration with the ministry, will work to establish a direct trade system enabling national producers, especially farmers and vegetable growers, to sell their products directly to consumers, further strengthening the local supply chain.
