At around 11:30 a.m. on May 4, exterior wall panels from the “Gegeenten” building located within 15th khoroo of Khan-Uul District in Ulaanbaatar City, unexpectedly detached and fell, causing a safety accident in the vicinity of the building’s parking area.

According to eyewitnesses, one of the falling panels landed directly on a parked vehicle. Fortunately, no one was inside the car at the time, and no injuries have been reported.

The accident raises concerns about construction safety and maintenance, especially during periods of high wind. Authorities are urging pedestrians and motorists to exercise caution near tall buildings during windy conditions, as sudden structural failures may pose serious risks. Further investigations into the cause of the panel detachment are expected, and building management is yet to release an official statement.
