Ulaanbaatar City completed repair and renovation works on a total of 32.14 kilometers of roads in 2026, according to a report presented at a regular briefing of the capital’s senior officials. B.Odbayar, head of the Ulaanbaatar Road Development Department, provided an update on road repair and renovation projects currently being implemented across the capital.

Of the total, 14.54 kilometers of main and secondary roads have been fully repaired and renovated at three locations: the Selkh Road, the road from the Dambadarjaa intersection to the end of Belkh and Monel Road. Meanwhile, work is underway to repair and renovate 17.6 kilometers of roads within residential areas across Ulaanbaatar’s six central districts. The projects are part of broader efforts to improve local road conditions and accessibility within residential neighborhoods.

The Governor of the Capital City and the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar City, B.Purevdagva instructed relevant officials to accelerate projects related to the Selbe Smart City development, including the grid-pattern roads in the 100 Ail area, roads within residential complexes and the multi-level intersection project. He also ordered officials to carefully plan the capital’s road repair and renovation projects for 2027, with a focus on coordinating infrastructure works with ongoing urban development projects.
