Ulaanbaatar Smart LLC has announced on its official website that passengers can reserve seats in advance on certain public buses. The Ulaanbaatar City Mayor’s Office Press Department clarified that the service applies specifically to suburban public transportation routes.

According to the department, passengers can reserve seats through the UBCARD app only on buses serving Baganuur, Bagakhangai and Chinggis Khaan International Airport. These services are classified as suburban transportation.

The department emphasized that the seat reservation system does not apply to public transportation services across the city. Passengers cannot reserve seats in advance on buses operating on routes within Ulaanbaatar. The clarification follows the announcement about advance seat reservations, which had led to some confusion over whether the service would be available on all public buses in the capital.
