More than 1,300 school staff needed

The Education Department of Capital City has conducted a comprehensive assessment of teacher and staff vacancies at public schools and kindergartens ahead of the 2026–2027 academic year. With only a few days remaining before the new school year begins, staffing remains a major challenge for ensuring that schools and kindergartens can operate smoothly and provide uninterrupted educational services. More than 1,300 vacancies have been identified at primary, middle and high schools across the capital city, with shortages reported across a wide range of teaching, administrative and support positions.

The vacancies include positions ranging from education managers and teachers to drivers and other support staff, highlighting the need to strengthen human resources before classes begin. Ensuring that schools are adequately staffed is particularly important as they prepare to accommodate students and organize teaching and extracurricular activities for the new academic year.

Bayanzurkh District, one of the capital’s most densely populated areas and among those facing high demand for educational services, has vacancies at 32 schools. The positions available in the district cover various levels of school operations, from education managers and teachers to drivers and other personnel.

Meanwhile, the assessment found that 23 schools in Bayangol District are also experiencing shortages of teachers and other staff. The number and type of vacancies vary between schools, depending on their individual staffing needs and workloads.

The shortage of personnel remains a key issue for schools seeking to maintain the quality and continuity of educational services. Filling vacant positions before or at the beginning of the academic year could help reduce the workload of existing employees and ensure that students receive adequate support throughout the school year.

The Education Department has urged qualified professionals and individuals interested in working in the education sector to review the available vacancies and contact the relevant authorities for more information. For further details on current vacancies, required qualifications, application procedures and available positions at specific schools and kindergartens, prospective applicants are advised to refer to the department.
