Victoria Delmon, World Bank Group Country Manager for Mongolia, presented her Letter of Credence to Battsetseg Batmunkh, Minister of Foreign Affairs. Following the credential presentation, Minister B.Battsetseg held a meeting with Delmon to discuss the current status of cooperation between Mongolia and the World Bank Group, as well as priorities for future collaboration.
During the meeting, Delmon reaffirmed the World Bank Group’s commitment to working closely with the Mongolian government to support the country’s sustainable development, economic diversification, private sector growth, and efforts to improve the investment environment. Mongolia joined the World Bank as its 155th member in 1991. Since then, the country has implemented more than 100 projects and programs with the institution across a wide range of socio-economic sectors, including energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and healthcare. Through this partnership, Mongolia has received more than 1.2 billion USD in concessional financing and over 170 million USD in grant funding to support its development priorities.
