Comprehensive Partnership with Poland to elevate

The third political consultation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Republic of Poland was held, marking a continued effort to deepen bilateral cooperation across political, economic, and multilateral platforms.

The meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs G.Amartuvshin and Poland’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Wladyslaw Bartoszewski. Both sides noted that relations and cooperation between the two countries have expanded significantly in recent years, elevating ties to the level of a “Comprehensive Partnership.”

During the consultations, the two sides discussed opportunities to further broaden cooperation in line with their respective development priorities, with a particular focus on increasing trade and economic engagement and implementing mutually beneficial joint projects with tangible outcomes.

The delegations also exchanged updates on efforts to strengthen the legal framework underpinning bilateral cooperation, including progress on forthcoming agreements intended to support collaboration in areas of shared interest.

A symbolic highlight of the meeting was the presentation of historical documents from the personal archive of Mongolian researcher and academic Wladysław Kotwicz to the Mongolian side.

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation within the United Nations system and other international organizations. They also discussed major international events to be hosted in Ulaanbaatar this year, including the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification, World Horse Day, and the World Forum of Women Parliamentarians, expressing confidence in Poland’s high-level participation.
