According to the average livestock market price data for December 2025, released by the National Statistics Office on January 12, the price of horses increased by 1.7 million MNT compared to the same period of the previous year, reflecting continued growth in livestock values.
Year-on-year data show notable price increases across other livestock categories as well. The price of soyolon stallion (5-year-old) rose to 1.3 million MNT, while 4-year-old male cattle prices increased to 1.9 million MNT and the price of a ram reached 300,000 MNT. Meanwhile, male goat prices surged to 210,000 MNT compared to the same period last year.
Regional price differences were also observed. In December 2025, the highest average price for male cattle was recorded in Sukhbaatar Province at 2.6 million MNT, while the lowest price was reported in Bayan-Ulgii Province at 1.35 million MNT.
In addition to livestock prices, related raw material prices also increased. The average price of cowhide leather longer than two meters reached 16,900 MNT in December 2025, up by 7,000 MNT from the same period last year. The average price of one kilogram of white cashmere stood at 113,000 MNT.
