Hot water restrictions began

A schedule has been announced for planned maintenance on Ulaanbaatar City’s central heating pipelines this summer. The repair work began on May 15, and is expected to continue until August 20. During this period, hot water supply will be temporarily restricted in various parts of the capital city.

Starting from May 15 and continuing through May 29, hot water will be cut off for a period of 14 days in several areas, including the neighborhoods around the second, third, fourth, and sixth khoroos. The temporary shutdown will also affect residents near the Gandantegchinlen Monastery, the former Maternal and Child Hospital, and the area surrounding the Mongolian National Broadcaster (MNB).

In addition, users in the vicinity of Dong Deng Mun sauna, the front side of the Gurvan Bileg Department Store, and the TBD Anduud area will be impacted. Customers supplied by the UDDT-85 network, as well as those located near the Railway Authority and Grand Plaza, will also experience service interruptions.

Further affected areas include the surroundings of Kyokushu Tower, UB Palace, the Police Station in Bayangol District, and the Railway College. Hot water supply will resume once the maintenance in each zone is completed.
